| Paalgaard and Lindstrøm show fragments taken from the private, cosy sphere. They create their art by alternately using simple and costly materials and techniques. Lindstrøm’s works comprise book art and models, and lately also monumental paintings. Paalgaard predominantly works with sound installations and musical art. They use humour laced with serious undertones, and have undertaken a variety of exhibitions and decoration projects together in the past. The title of the exhibition alludes to the fact that they have both turned 50. Paalgaard and Lindstrøm live and work in Oslo.

| | 29TH MARCH – 25TH MAY | | Lars Teigum | Paintings. Main hall. |
| Teigum presents paintings and silk screen paintings in an abstract expression. He works according to principles of musical composition and says that “The pieces comprise pulsating surfaces and rhythm sections, and the pictures communicate a flow of signals and impulses for which the different branches come together as a whole.” The paintings are shown in large montages and specific constellations on the walls. Some of his pieces are accompanied by sound, and together the two expressions influence the onlookers’ senses. Teigum lives and works in Hedmark and has previously studied in Stockholm and Berlin.

| | | | | Anne Pfeffer Gjengedal | Jewellery and objects. Vault. |
| Pfeffer Gjengedal primarily works with silver and thin silver thread, often using silk cocoons from China. This is an expression of her fascination with beauty and the function of a bird’s nest, hives, nests and webs as ‘parental homes’ which will protect whatever is inside them. Anne Pfeffer Gjengedal lives and works in Hokksund, Buskerud.
| | | | | Solveig Ovanger | Leather, bags and objects. Cellar. |
| Ovanger uses hide as a material – predominantly ox-hide but also the skin from various fishes and animals. The objects are shaped like sculptures and her expression is organic but also rigid at the same time. She is interested in the characteristics and strength of hide, which can be used for protection and stimulation of the senses. Solveig Ovanger lives and works in Håkøybotn and Tromsø.

Performance Saturday 7 June at 1430 Blackman in European Kitchen by Emmanuel Eni For the summer exhibtion Kunstbanken wishes to focus both on artistic diversity and environmental threats. Global warming and excess consumption are portrayed through art made from recycled material created by Norwegian and African artists. Not many can create art from rubbish, chance objects and natural materials like African artists. This may be due to the general lack of resources but it also shows a creativity and inventiveness which is second to none. We wish to show this cultural diversity, humour and vitality.

| | 6TH SEPTEMBER – 19TH OCTOBER | | Marit Gimse | Textile. Main hall and vault. |
 | Gimse presents a retrospective exhibition with new as well as old textile work. In the main hall she displays large tapestry, with silk screening and painted surfaces. The tapestries are sewn together from smaller pieces which become part of the composition, lending more substance to the work. Her starting point is always the proximity to organic matter and nature. In the vault, we re-encounter Gimse’s previous work as a clothes designer. She has undertaken many, often large, decorative commissions, including several stage curtains. Gimse has worked with textiles all her adult life and is still exploring the possibilites. She lives and works in Hamar. | | | | | Ansgar Ole Olsen | Metal. Sculpture. Loft. |
| Ansgar Ole Olsen presents pieces of work predominantly made from metal. His work is abstract and decorative, with allusions to concrete shapes and concepts. His themes are taken from history, and in particular working-class culture and social development. Ansgar Ole Olsen is a qualified craftsman, locksmith/tool maker.
